Glaucoma is a group of diseases that can damage the eye's optic nerve and result in vision loss and blindness. Approximately 2.2 million Americans have been diagnosed with glaucoma.1 It is typically characterized by elevated pressure inside the eye. This intraocular pressure (IOP) can damage the optic nerve and lead to permanent vision loss. While glaucoma is a lifelong condition, lowering IOP with daily treatment can prevent further vision loss.
